Akola district has Police Headquarter at Akola.
Head Quarter maintains reserve police force which will be used for guard duty, escort duty and
many other regular duties. Also arrange basic police training sessions.


In the situation of law & order police head quarter provide Reserve Police force to handle the situation.
Reserve police inspector of Head quarter control the discipline, training, canteen, store, armor room, building
maintenance, quarter guard, magazine which are under observation of Home Deputy Superintendent of
Police and Superintendent of Police.

The primary objective of the Akola Police Band is to contribute to effective operation of the police service by strengthening and expanding lines of communication and public relations between the public and police and provide ceremonial support as and when required.
Akola Police Band is utilized during all important Government functions like Republic Day Parade, national and international sporting events as well as on the occasions of State Receptions hosted in the honor of State guests. Akola Band can also take a part in various functions of policemen and private persons on behalf of nominal charges.
