Mobile App Drushti for all citizen (Youth, Women, sinior citizen)

Brief of the work -

Drishti came up, where the general public could share information with the Police; be it information related to any crime, illegal activities, traffic mishaps or any type of communication they need to share with Akola Police.

INCLUSION

A. Report an Incidence / Traffic Incidence

A common man can report an incidence (illegal activity, traffic mishaps or any information, something as simple as school celebration) by simply logging on to the app. Once he logs in, his details are preloaded on the screen. Hence he only needs to enter a message and enter his location, which is again preloaded and available at the click of a button. Depending on the area selected the Police Station name is auto generated. User doesn't need to select Police station also. Once he clicks on the send button, he is asked to upload any image if he needs to. Here he can click and send the image or choose from his gallery and send up to 5 images or a video of up to 20 seconds across. He receives a ticket number for his reference.

B. Back end action

A ticket generation triggers information delivery at two points:

i) Control Room mobile
ii) Police Station in charge mobile

The Police station in-charge takes an action and then enters details of the action taken on his mobile. Thus resolving the ticket generated. The Control Room Officer can monitor on an hourly or daily basis the received and resolved tickets. Once the ticket is resolved the user on his app screen can see status of his ticket and action taken.

C. Emergency Help:

A common man especially women, can avail the Emergency Help in case of difficult times. One can preload numbers of relatives. On clicking ''Emergency Help'', a sms is sent to the pre-loaded numbers and Control room with the location of the person based on Google maps.

D. Locate:

This feature helps User to locate your nearest Police Station. User can simply enter his location from a list of pre-loaded areas. So entering his location is done almost at a click of a button. Based on his location, the nearest police station way is shown on Google maps. Or in case if the User knows the name of Police station, he simply needs to drag the desired name of Police Station Block, and see the way. It is simple and easy to use.
